Welcome to Fungify ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience on our platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services.

By using Fungify, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not download, install, or use our application.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

  • Account information (email, username, profile picture)
  • Authentication data (Google or Apple sign-in)
  • User-generated content (photos, routes, locations, notes)
  • Communication data (support requests, feedback)

2.2 Location Information

We collect location data when you use the app to display maps, record routes, tag finds, and navigate. Background location is used only when you actively record a route. You can control permissions in your device settings.

2.3 Camera & Photos

We access your camera and photo library to take and upload mushroom photos. Photos are stored securely and shared only when you choose.

2.4 Biometrics

Face ID or other biometric data is stored on your device only and never transmitted to our servers.

2.5 Analytics

We use Firebase and Vexo for anonymous usage data, crash reports, and performance metrics. You can opt out through device settings.

  • Process and store your findings, routes, and location data

4. How We Share

We share your content only when you explicitly choose to share it. We use service providers (Supabase, Firebase, Vexo, Google Maps, Vercel) who are contractually obligated to protect your data. We may disclose information if required by law.

5. Data Security

We implement encryption, secure authentication, and access controls. No method is 100% secure; we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information.

6. Your Rights

You can access, update, or delete your account through app settings. Control location, camera, and photo permissions in device settings. Opt out of tracking through device privacy settings. Delete your account at any time to remove your data.

California residents have CCPA rights; EEA users have GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability, etc.). Contact us to exercise these rights.
